Sorry I haven't been visiting all my usual blogs but I fell off my bike last Wednesday and bruised/cracked my ribs so haven't been feeling up to do very much for the past week or so. Been taking very strong painkillers and they had me feeling very whoozy.....so spent most of the time in front of the TV watching the tennis. I guess that's the silver lining along with the sunshine!
Ihave entered this card in the Allsorts Challenge Blog as this week's challenge is a shaped card. Not sure this is what they had in mind, but hope is qualifies.
I had already cut out the decoupage a little while ago in anticipation for my friend's birthday, so just had to put it altogether. Tried to make it a little bit different from the last two that I did so this time I cut the base card with the outline of the rugby player and then matted on top of it. To try and make it a bit more personal, as my friend is Welsh, I cut out an image of a Welsh rugby ball and decoupaged that over the top of the original brown ball.
And, while I have been sat in front of the TV, I watched a bit of QVC and as luck would have it, We R Memory Keepers was on, so I treated myself and ordered the Cropodile Big Bite II. Been wanting it for a while and thought I deserved something to cheer me up!!!
So, embellished the sentiment with a couple of gromlets.
Right, I'm off now back to the tennis, Go Andy Go!
I have a male friend's birthday coming up soon and not long ago I had seen the Flippin Men range and absolutely loved it - they are so comical and so very different from what is on the market at the moment. Anyway,it was time to order some and I just did a search on Google (good old Google - where would I be without it - Lost, that's where) and only went and found a link to the blog of the actual lady who designed the cards - can you believe it! She (Jak) is holding a competition and all you have to do is put a link to her blog and there are lots of goodies to win. The Blog is called Crafters Kitchen and looks amazing so even without the lure of goodies, it's a good blog to follow.
